"The Artists of Apex" is a project to support and promote the regional artists who have a connection with Apex Digest and Apex Publications (as well as promoting Apex itself) by displaying their artwork at regional sci-fi & fantasy conventions, local art shows, bookstores and on this website.

Paul Bielaczyc - Paul works primarily in charcoal but has recently begun experimenting with pastels and colored pencils. His work has appeared in the Dragonlance roleplaying books and in the Masters of Fantasy III collection. His charcoal drawing, "Nightmare", won a Chesley Award in 2006. Paul is also the cover artist and contributing illustrator for Apex Digest Issue #9. Michael Bielaczyc - Mike has been making art his whole life, using various media and subject. He has been selling and showing his work since 1995 when he self-published his own comic book. In 2002 he started his own art company, Aradani Studios, with his brother, Paul. Mike has been working on a variety of projects from prop making to costume design, illustration to web design as weel as gallery style art work and as cover artist for Aegri Somnia, a collection of dark short-stories published by Apex Publications, nominated for a Stoker Award for Best Anthology. Mike also contributed to the interior illustrations of Apex Digest Issue #9.

Judi Davidson - An enthusiastic amateur artist and shameless promotor of artist friends and Apex, Judi has contributed story illustrations for Apex Digest Issues # 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. She had also been the cover artist for "The Best of Apex Digest 2006, Volume II". Recently Judi landed the job of cover artist and illustrator for "Temple Incarnations", a new novella by British horror writer, Steven Savile. |

Steven C. Gilberts - Cover artist & story illustrator for Apex Digest Issue #6. Steven is a professional artist and illustrator in the horro genre and claims to owe much to his mentor, horror artist master, Alan M. Clark. Steven recently did the cover illustrations for the "The Blood of Father Time" books written by Alan Clark, Stephen C. Merritt and Lorelei Shannon.
